What information do we have?
Your name & photoCollected from the school directory when you register. Stored encrypted.
Your student ID & classUsed to identify your account. Stored encrypted.
Your passwordWe never store your actual password. Only a secure hash is kept — even we can't read it.
Discord accountOnly if you choose to link it. We store your Discord username and ID.
Homework & gradesEverything you add yourself. Stored encrypted and only visible to you.
Class dataShared homework is visible to members of that class only.
How is it kept safe?
- Your personal information and school data are encrypted in the database.
- Passwords are hashed — they cannot be recovered even by us.
- All connections to the database are encrypted in transit.
- Session cookies are marked as secure and inaccessible to browser scripts.
Who can see your data?
- Only you can see your homework, grades, reviews, and exams.
- Class homework and other materials are visible to everyone in that class.
- Admins can see your name and student ID for account management only.
- Nobody outside Homekirk has access to your data.
Do we share your data?
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third parties. Your data is used solely to make Homekirk work for you.
How long do we keep it?
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, everything is permanently removed — there's no recovery after that.
Cookies
We use a single cookie to keep you logged in. It expires after 7 days. We don't use tracking cookies or analytics.
Your rights
- You can ask what data we hold about you at any time.
- You can ask us to correct any information that's wrong.
- You can ask us to delete your account and all your data.
